ኢትዬ ዴሞክራሲ፣ አዲስ አበባ (ጥር 14፣ 2010) - ከ30ኛው የአፍሪካ ህብረት የመሪዎች ስብሰባ አስቀድሞ የሚካሄዱ መደበኛ ስብስባዎች በአዲስ አበባ መካሄድ ጀምረዋል።   በዛሬው እለትም 35ኛው የአፍሪካ ህብረት አባል ሀገራት የህብረቱ ቋሚ መልዕክተኞች ስብሰባ እየተካሄደ ነው።   የቋሚ መልእክተኞች ስብሰባው ላይ የአፍሪካ ህብረት ሊቀመንበር ሙሳ ፋቂ፣ በህብረቱ የአፍሪካ ሀገራት አምባሳደሮችና ቋሚ መልዕክተኞች እንዲሁም የህብረቱ ኮሚሽነሮች በመሳተፍ ላይ ይገኛሉ።   ቋሚ መልዕክተኞቹ በሚያደርጉት ስብሰባ በመሪዎች ደረጃ ለሚካሄደው ጉባኤ የሚውል አጀንዳ የሚያዘጋጁ ሲሆን፥ ለመሪዎቹ ከመቅረቡ በፊትም በህብረቱ የስራ አስፈጻሚ ምክር ቤት በኩል የሚገመገም ይሆናል።   ከሁለት ቀናት በኋላ ደግሞ የአፍሪካ ህብረት የውጭ ጉዳይ ሚኒስትሮች ስብሰባ ለሁለት ቀናት የሚካሄድ ሲሆን፥ ይህን ተከትሎም የመሪዎች ስብሰባ በይፋ እንደሚጀመር…

Ethiodemocracy, (Jan 22, 2017) - Clashes during a religious festival in Ethiopia's northern Amhara regional state has left seven people dead, a regional official said Sunday. Amare Goshu, Head of North Wollo Zone Police Department at Amhara state, said the deaths happened on Saturday and Sunday in Woldiya city, as crowds shouting anti-government slogans clashed with security forces. Ethiodemocracy, (Jan 22, 2017) -  Ethiopia's leader has rejected arbitration by the World Bank on a disagreement with Egypt over the hydroelectric dam that Ethiopia is building on the Nile River. Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn on Saturday refused the suggestion made by Egypt in late December that the World Bank should be brought in to resolve the dispute with Ethiopia over the construction of the dam on the Nile River that Egypt says threatens its water security. Ethiodemocracy, Adiss Ababa (Jan 22, 2017) - The Ethiopian government on Sunday said 148 rebels have surrendered to Ethiopian security forces in recent weeks. The surrenders are said to be members of the outlawed rebel group Gambella People's Liberation Front (GPLM), said Gat Luack, President of Gambella regional state.
